The CUTEST Baby EVER!

OK, so he is mine- but it's my blog and my baby...so I can be biased! ha! And as our friend Alayna says, "He is magically delicious"- and he really is! Plus I needed a quick break from editing everyone else's images. Thanks for letting me share the love of our life!

Diamond Girls Gala!

The Diamond Girls Gala is finally here! Mark your calendars for February 23 (which also happens to be mine and Pete's 6th anniversary!). The Gala will be held at my place starting at 7pm. It will be a evening of artistic appreciation as images will be on display of 7 breast cancer survivors. It has been a project 5 months in the making- and I am thrilled that it is here! All proceeds will go to Susan G Koman For the Cure! $25 suggested donation at the door (of course...more is always welcomed!) So come join us for coctails, hors devours, and fun! Call or email me for more details! Hope to see you there!

A Real Life Wall Collection.....

I got an email this morning from the T. family that really made me smile!! They sent me these images of their home with the wall collection that they designed! Gave me chills of excitement! It is one thing for me to see how happy clients are when they walk out of my studio with their artwork, but is another to see it hanging on their walls in their home! This truly made my day! Thanks so much Doug and Brit! I am so glad you love it as much as I do! Before you know it, it will be time for Cole's 1 year pics! Time sure does fly! Thanks again!!

Meet Max!

Look at those cheeks! Aren't they so sweet? Meet Max- a happy, hunky, chunky little 2 month old who really loves the camera (much like his daddy- haha!) His mommy and daddy could not be more proud. Keep smiling Max...the best is yet to come! :)

Baby Ava is Here!

Yes, Baby Ava is here and I think it is safe to say...she is a Daddy's Girl! Right Peggy and Tim??!! All she needed was to see her daddy's eyes, and any tiny fuss was out the window. Seriously! Not a peep! It was actually pretty funny! Can't you tell in the above image by the way they are looking at each other??!! She was in a trance! What a sweetie pie! Let me know how that vaccuum cleaner trick works for you guys! ha!

Sexy, Sassy Maternity Session (and an Adorable Angel)!

What a fun maternity session! I have to say, this family really "got it"! I want for our sessions together to be fun, spontanious, silly, and relaxed- and this was just that! So your 2 year old will not sit perfectly still and smile and say cheese (not that I would want that anyway!)- hey...no biggie! Let's just play and have some fun. Throw caution to the wind! And look what is gets you!! (OK- so it helps when all 3 family members look like they just walked off the cover of a magazine! ha!) Great to meet you Robin, Charlie, and London (don't you love that name??!!)

The "A" Family at home...

You first met the "A" family with their large family at the beach last month. Now I got to really spend some time with them in their neighborhood, capturing some more family images. I love family shoots- and this one was especially fun because I have already worked with this family on a couple shoots and because my friend Edie, who is a photographer in Tenn, was here for the Professional Photographers of America conference with me and we shot together! How fun! Thanks for your business "A" family!

Double Trouble!

You may remember a while ago the slew of maternity sessions that I had who were all expecting twins! Well, meet the first of the group- Carson and Chandler! Not only did I get to photograph them and their adorable big brother, Camden...but I also got to teach infant massage to their mommy! So really it's not just double trouble in this house, it's a triple threat! (OK- I know I am dorky, just go with me here!) Here's wishing the "S" family many restful nights!

Meet Marshall Blake!

You may remember this beautiful couple from their maternity session. So are you at all surprised at how beautiful this baby is??!! I wasn't! And if Marshall's daddy has anything to do with it, he will be a Gator, too! Even more attractive! (sorry all my Nole clients, but you know I bleed orange and blue!) So glad I got to photograph the U. family!!

The Kissing Booth!

Here we are...just a bunch of nerdy photographers having fun in a photo booth at our conference (where there were over 600 booths of fun stuff to play with!) Four of us girls all stayed together and had so much fun! OK, so your idea of a fun dinner out may not include talk of all the latest and greatest photography "stuff"- but we were in heaven!

I just got back from "Imaging USA"- the Professional Photographers of America's national conference. I LOVED it! There are so many exciting new ideas, concepts, products, and techniques out there- and I am happy to say that I have selected some of my favorites for my clients! One of my most exciting new products lines---custom framing! I selected a line of the most beautiful, elegant, funky, contemporary, and artistic frames I could find. This will really help to display the artwork that we create together in your home! There is something for every distinct taste. So, most of my collections will now come with custom frames! YIPPEE! (it's the little things that make me happy, can you tell?? ha!) Also, I am looking for some clients to help me get my new frames up and on their walls- ASAP.....so I am offering a price break to those who purchase frames with their orders in the next 2 weeks. Drop me a line if you want in on the special!

It's a New year...and Oh How I Have Grown (thank goodness!)

Yep! It's a new year again and I can confidently pat myself on the back and say "Ya done good, kid!" Of course there is still plenty to learn (in fact, I am going to the largest national photographers convention hosted by the Professional Photographers Association this weekend!) But overall I can say that I am very proud of what I have accomplished in my first year of business. Here is a brief look back at the scary beginnings just to show you (and me!) how I have grown and improved! (and to show those out there with expensive cameras that it really is the person behind the camera that makes the image...not the camera.) Thanks to all of my wonderful girlfriends who let me use them as models...and thanks for not killing me for posting these! ha! Happy New Year everyone! Not too sure what happened here, too dark, silk not wrapped properly, nice underware showing....
Do you like my neighbor's roof and my shutters?
My attempt at being cool! Like my floor and kitchen door?
My attempt at "artsy". And this gal is beautiful...too bad the picture is not! ha! Oh- and that is my dining room wall behind her, no backdrops yet!
Wonder if I could have gotten any closer? or more out of focus? or boring and clique'??!!
How about that sheer silk, make of...my bedroom sheet! And her husband's hands? Nice!
A tad too dark, ya' think? And what was I letting her do with that chin? So sorry, Vic!
My attempt at a silouette.....not good!
Again, here is my floor and the wall, where I tapped my backdrop! ha!
At least we had a few laughs...and lots of fun trying!
Oh Kel......what can I say? I had no idea how to use my lights!
or how to position my subjects....
or how to edit! What's with those bras strap lines??!!
OK, so enough with the trip down memory lane! Clearly things have gotten way better (aren't you so glad??!!) Lots more fun (and improved images) to come...and keep your eyes peeled for my new "big girl" website!

Look How Trimble Has Grown!

One of the most exciting and rewarding parts of my job is building relationships with my clients and being able to see their children grow. I photographed Trimble's parent's maternity session, his birth, his newborn...and now his 6 month session! I cannot believe it! How fun to be able to see how this little guy is growing and changing. Before we know it, it will be time for his one year shoot! WOW!
